Youth Deer Unit 45 - Advice / Tips Are Appreciated

Howdy -
My son drew a youth deer tag which means we are spending our Thanksgiving in New Mexico! I have a place to stay around Cleveland and will be departing there each day. Any advice to get my 11 year old tagged out is greatly appreciated. He's done well with Texas White-tails and shoots a 30-06. Thank you -

Doesn't look like you got much help. Hoping maybe you can help me. I'm looking for a unit to apply for a deer tag for my son. How did the hunt go? Would you suggest it for a little guy? Not worried about trophy quality, just hoping for good opportunity. Thanks!
