Maybe some time at the shooting range would be in order? :)

Doesn't look like X-12 will get any snow this deer season. That can change everything from what I understand. Stick with it though, some nice bucks are always show on the last day of the season.

No weather you might as well stay home unless you have spent a lot of years hunting there we took a little fork and missed a 4x at 190 yds but it was dry dusty and 6 days of hunting to do that better luck next time

Lookin at huntin x12 next year,, bt seems like u wouldnt recommend it,,,
The X-12 season CAN end before any snow falls, and pushes the big boys out of the mountains. So you'll need to be prepared to pack in and camp, IMO. Just driving around and spotting from the road usually doesn't get it done. A lot of guys are doing that.

If you can hike off the road several miles before light, glass and hike all day, and pack a deer out on your back, X-12 would be a nice area for you. Not to mention scouting before the season to locate some deer is crucial.
