I hunted X-9A a few years back, and it is an up and coming sleeper zone in my opinion. The number of kills and success rate are climbing, and even exceeded the highly touted Zone X-12 in 2014. IMHO, the western side of the zone offers the best chance for success on a bigger deer. Tim Taylor is the biologist for that area, and can give you some good information on current deer movement. Go for it.
Lots of deer in 9a, esp if it snows up high, as deer will move out of the park.
Lots of rolling country, open sage, or vertical draws. I'd burn points,,,,,,,if I had any.
