Wyoming -- within one half mile of irrigated land rule

We are planning a Wyoming trip for 2017 and want some meat. Has anyone had any experience with the doe/fawn "within one half mile of irrigated lands" rule? I have plotted a buffer around these areas, and it looks like some areas have good access in some of the units, but I have no idea how many other hunters will be looking at these areas.

I have also called a number of landowners, and they are happy to have us out, but we were thinking about trying to make it a bit more of a hunt instead of just shooting off the fields. Right now we are looking at antelope area 79 and Deer areas 41, 47, 51, or 52.

I've hunt "irrigated farmland" tags around Farson. The rule is you have to hunt within 1/2 mile of the irrigated land. Because it is for "depredation" of does/fawns in the fields and the fields are private (as is most of the land around them, usually permission is needed.

There are plenty of times the does/fawns just stay in the green fields. Food, water, what's not to love. I'd pick a landowner and make it official, as far as permission. You can always prowl the public edges if you like, and if needed head to the private.
