Thanks for the reply! Yes I was fortunate enough to draw this tag. What part of the unit do the elk favor in September? I've hunted unit 201 in Colorado with a friend and the elk there liked to stay up high for the most part. It also looks very accessable from looking at google earth. Is there any places to pack-in and get away from the crowds?

Thanks Again.

There really is not any way to "pack-in" in area 32. The most obvious elk country is Pine Mountain, which gets hit pretty hard early. Unfortunately there's several roads up there and lots of the elk bail off of the top as soon as the opening day of archery begins. There are some other places in the area where elk tend to go. Give me a PM it you want specifics.

Iceman, PM me and I can give you all the information you want. I am in this area all the time. Like the previous posters said, it is hard to get away from people. but archery hunting is the best out there.

Was lucky enough to draw this tag. My dad and I drew it together and only waited 8 years. Anyway, ICEMAN, how did you do in 2013? And just looking to perhaps get some starting points. Let me know is interested in sharing....
