That is a great week end. We didn't hunt yesterday but we got 2 on Friday missed the third and 2 on Saturday. I think we could do better if the group would get up earlier and push it a little harder. Lots of time we don't start jumping till after 12:30. So drives me a little nuts because I just want to get going. I love doing the work to get dogs going and I'm sort of the tracker too. With the Gps there is one other guy with a tracker in the group. So it makes it interesting when there running trying to get to a spot to shot and keeping track of dogs and trying to help others in the group get in the right direction to kill the coyote. I got one on Saturday with my AR. The Dogs have been catching the yots a lot. If I did this right here a pic from one day last year. I'm on the left and the kid on the far right with his glasses on just started teaching in New York Mills from our group. Looking like I'm going out in the morning with this new snow hope the wind will stay down. View attachment 8150
Yeah the wind has been horrible this year. We have a local hound club called the West Central Coon &Fox Hunters Assn. This year for our tournament we decided to go with 22's only, nobody ever thought we would get 8, everything went about as good as it could. On Saturday one guy saw 3 going into a corn field, so we headed in and ended up being 5 in the same field, we got 4 of them. Not sure what the heck there eating because there was no rabbits or deer in there. And were all males, kinda weird. Maybe they eat corn! Sunday another guy saw a pair going into the swamp so we went after them and got them to. Oh and got 2 on Friday, sure helps to have the deep snow they don't have much of a chance! If you don't mind me asking, what is the guy's name who teaches in Mills?

Also you said you were looking for bobcat dogs? Have you thought of using your coyote dogs? We use our same dogs on everything, cat, cook, coyote, bear, etc. Seem to do just fine, can't imagine having different dogs for everything. Let me know if you have any questions about that.
