Well I'm a new guy to the forum so first off, I will say hi!

I'm from Manitoba, Canada and am looking at heading down to Wyoming after some speed goats. I have printed off the the left over tags, the map and have talked to some guys about other zones that they have been to, but are sold out after the draw this year.
I am looking at either zone25, 31, 21 or 26. Can anyone give a suggestion as to which one would have some potential to gain access for land.
I'm going to call on Monday to get the list of landowners that allow hunting but thought I would see what you guys have to say.
Thanks for any help

There is plenty of access to public ground along the southern boundary of unit 21 and plenty of tags left. Just get a good BLM map and you'll see several county roads that go north off the county roads that are the southern border of 21. There is 40-50 square miles in total to hunt public land in the southern part of the unit. That's the best by far of the 4 units you mentioned.

I dont know anything about those units but mytopo.com will give you a good idea of the public land in each unit to start narrowing it down. All WY units with leftover tags will have some access issues. Having a GPS with a huntinggpsmaps chip will be very helpfull on your hunt as it can be very difficult to tell what is public land. Good luck.

There's quite a bit of public land in 26 as well. This will be a good year for out there too. I see a lot of antelope right by the highway on public land in there. There's is not a lack of water out there this year. There is water running in draws that I've never seen water in

You won't have any access issues in the southern part of 21 and you'll fill your tags if you have 4 or 5 days to hunt. A Garmin with the landowner chip is invaluable and I wouldn't be anywhere out there without mine. I also agree that it should be a good year for the animals and horn growth.

I appreciate the help guys, thanks very much. It will be a week long trip, depends on what other tags I draw this year, should hopefully get a bow moose tag, and a rifle mulie tag this year.
