Wyoming elk Type 1 vs Type 9 dates?

I understand the actual season dates aren't announced until several months from now. So my general question is on the "normal" dates for the different bow hunts for these 2 hunt Types.
Does the Type 9 bow hunt usually run Sept. 1 -30 and does a Type 1 bow hunt (purchased separately) run from Sept. 15-30? I'm not sure if they run from certain dates or some other periods.

What area are you asking about? Some areas that have a type 9 tag (archery only) don't allow the type 1 tag holders to archery hunt while there's some that split the archery season for type 9 & type 1. Some areas don't have a type 9 tag at all? So an area would help us answer your question.

I'm looking at 45 which has both a Type 1 and Type 9.

Type 9 is the only way to archery hunt that area I believe. You can always pull up last year's regulations to see the season structure

I'm certain that is not correct as the guy I know hunted it last year drew a Type 1 hunt as did a friend of his, and they bought the archery tag that was good for the last part of Sept. I was mainly not certain on whether the dates were all of Sept for Type 9 and Sept 15-30 for Type 1 archery. Best I can tell from the regs is that is the case but I just wanted to check with others.

You are correct in 45. Type 9 all of September and type 1 starts September 15 to end of month.

I just checked and you're correct. I don't hunt that area so I was running from memory. They've made some changes to the areas that have type 9 tags over the last couple years. Always better to check regulations for yourself rather than listen to someone on the Internet. Hahaha

38 is the area that doesnt have a type 1 archery hunt.
