How'd everyone do?

Applied as a party Regular draw General Tag. Averaged we had 2 points......didn't draw. Next year will be the year hopefully.

Looks like CO OTC it is.

Waited almost a decade and burned my points last year on my first Wyoming elk hunt. Killed a good bull. Put in with a buddy for the same unit this year. Both of us had zero points. Lightning struck and we drew in the random. Still in shock and grateful I dont have to wait so long to go back to Wyoming.

My buddy and I drew 37 archery tag. Hunting with an outfitter, excited and happy. 3rd trip to wyoming in 5 years (last two mule deer and antelope). First time for elk

Applied for a type 6 cow tag in a sexy unit this yr that had sensible draw odds the last few yrs.

I didn't draw.

Looking at the draw odds report, this yr they cut the tags in 1/2 and over 3x increase in the 1st choice apps for that unit over last yr. So, exponentionally worse odds...

Setting sights on Colorado probably next, unless I decide to skip another year hunting elk to chase deer or pronghorn.

Nothing special here, but I did draw a Type 6 cow tag I'll use as a scouting tool and decide if it is a unit I want to try and burn some points on in the future. Pretty lucky I drew the tag with the application pool increasing this year compared to previous years. Considering this was the first time I threw my name in the WY hat, pretty happy.

In my case, I did buy some lottery tickets, and checked the numbers only minutes before the WY draws came out. Lo and behold, I actually "won" $4 on the lottery, and drew a low odds type 6 (cow) tag. This is a good hunt that I did a couple years ago where I can access some good public ground from a friend's ranch. Good luck to all.

Congrats to those that drew and those that got lucky even.

Was really hoping for WY and had been looking at places like it was a shoe-in and that didn't happen. Got sights set on a few CO spots, just need to make the final decisions.

Good friend who has been once and I headed in doing the bivvy DIY. Can't wait. Sept can't come quick enough.

It's crazy how some of the hunts jump 2-3 points in one year and some go down a point or 2. Sometimes if you went regular you would have drawn but if you went special you would not have. WY is one of the hardest elk states to get dialed in on, to me at least.
