Hello everyone, just looked at the non resident draw results and was lucky enough to draw unit 38 for elk. I was wondering if anyone could share some info on this area. I plan on a DIY pack in bowhunt the middle of september. Is this an area where I can pack in for a 5 day hunt and get away from crowds. Or is it too accessible for that kind of hunt.

I am planning on the same thing this year. I have 5 points for elk and 11 for moose. I want to do a little scouting for moose a few years down the road while I archery hunt. I know I got to your thread a little late, but did you have any luck?
