Wyoming Antelope Unit 63

Hi All, I am looking into organizing a group hunt for Unit 63 from multiple guys in multiple states. this seems to be a good central spot for us but I see there are 2 different style tags with 1 having access to the whole unit and the other only through the eastern side of the unit. I am curious to the amount of room there if you were just on the eastern side and what you saw when you were on your hunt in regards to how many antelope.

I am not caring on size, these are some first time hunters looking for some meat and I just want everyone to have a good time

How many preference points so you all have?

I have 3, another has 1 and another has 0. We would be averaging 1.33

I think you need to look over the draw odds page. You could draw type 2 in the special, but you need over 5 to draw the type 1 tag in the special, and more in the regular.

Yes. That’s correct. We can draw under the special for the type 2. Have you hunted this unit before, especially on the east side?

There's antelope everywhere in Wyoming. If you literally want to shoot a buck for meat, you'll be just fine.

I've hunted 63 several times but only the west side type 1 tag. Last time I went it only took 3 points in the regular draw. Haven't been able to catch up since.

how'd ya do out there when you last hunted it? would you go again in that unit?

I hunted 83 last and tagged out within a few hours of my first day on a nice goat but haven't been back since. It has been 4 years.

You'll have no trouble finding antelope on the east side of the unit. The trophy quality is lacking, but I'm not much of a trophy hunter.

I hunted the type 2 tag in 2015. Lots of antelope to sort through. I went in mid October and didnt see another hunter.

I think they added more type 2 tags since 2015. I went in mid October 2017 on a Friday and had a few other hunters out that morning. Definitely wasn't alone

Last time I went in 63 type 1 I killed an 80 incher first day.
