WY Tag quota proposals

I'd assume these will be pretty close to the actual quotas. I only looked at the Casper area and the tags got whacked pretty good! Should help though for the future...

Wow, 400 type 1 licenses in area 72. I hunted it three years ago, and the quota was 1,250.

There are still a lot of antelope in many of those units, but they had to cut the tag numbers down because of either the winter a couple years ago, the drought, or the extra tags issued the last couple years that got the number of animals down to where they should be for the carrying capacity of the habitat. The problem this does create though is that it takes a lot of money from the already hurting G&F budget, so they really need to get things squared away in the Legislature next session to get funding increased greatly by 2016.

Yea they have definitely cut back tags big time in some units!
