The House draw fire between Gillette and Buffalo is 175,000 acres (273 sq mi.) The Remington fire that started in N E Sheridan Co and went way up into Mt is 184,000 acres (287 sq mi). Both of these fires were extremely fast moving and the Remington fire had about a 10 mile front. Winds were 30-40mph helping spread. Lots of antelope and cattle were burned. They have only been 25% contained as of yesterday. Sad!
