I had a friend bail on me last night but I still like to make a hunt this year. I see I can draw area 82 in the special draw but don't want to burn my points on a mid 70's buck. I'm looking for a buck over 78 inches and have the time to hunt / retired now. I've talked to the game warden and he said hunt the 91 ranch but they want $500, a bit much for me. I can hunt early and hunt the Carter Mt area or wait until they move down off the private and cross the Hwy.
Any thoughts on getting an 80 inch buck from this area. I know its not noted to be a trophy area.
I could fly fish around Cody which makes it even more tempting.
If anyone has hunted it recently and wants to share some info I'd appreciate it. I can give info on other WY antelope areas that I have hunted in the past.
