Anybody have pics of their rig being stuck?
Here is a bad pic on my first pick-up stuck miles south of Harrison Pass in the Ruby mountains of Nevada.
If I had a high-lift jack we probably could have gotten ourselves out, but I didn't have one yet. Had three guys stop and try to pull us out to no avail. We hiked out to the main road over Harrison pass and my brother hitched a ride into Spring Creek.
He got back about 6 hours later with a couple of surveyers from Wyoming, one of which was a gal. She was amazing! She whipped out a chainsaw buried under a bunch of stuff in her BIG ASS Chevy truck, cut some logs to put under the buried tires after lifting with a high-lift jack.
Luckily 2 other rigs stopped back by to see if we got out and we hooked all 3 together and finally got unstuck. All she asked in return was oil for her leaky engine.
I have since paid the favor forward by helping other rigs get unstuck over the years.http://forum.eastmans.com/images/styles/eastmans/attach/jpg.gif

Couple 3 weeks ago. Looking for sheep. Bs'n not paying attention. Front end dropped, ripped off the front air dam, front right wheel floating, rear left wheel floating. So 4x4 was useless. Took a whole lot of rocks and cussin to get out. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1437592927.626499.jpg

good thread! That is a dandy Gr8bawana! I haven't done that maneuver in a big pickup hardstalk, but I kindof did it in a '78 Buick LeSabre one time. That thing was a tank, but got her stuck pretty good a few times. It only took one rear off the ground and I was SOL pretty much, so maybe not as bad as that one, lol.

Hahaha that sucks bro
My buddy is like 6'2 that was with me. He said "you seriously didn't see that giant hole in the ground?!" I said "I'm 5'6 man! I have a solid 20' blind spot in front of the truck. I can barely see over the dash in any vehicle! You were the co-pilot. You were suppose to warn me!" The best part of the story is after we bickered for a bit jokingly about who's fault it was about why we were stuck. He finds the biggest rock in the desert, grabs it and attempts to pick it up to bring it over to the truck. He gets it about 2' off the ground and I see a 6" scorpion hanging out under the rock. He is deathly afraid of scorpions and flips out. I ended up moving most of the rocks over for traction...

Lol. My dad got our 72 Pontiac stuck like that one time on a back road. Had to walk to farmers house to pull us out with a tractor. My mama wasn't happy cause we didn't have to take that dirt road home. Lmbo! It's funny now.

This is a product of peer pressure from my brother. Thankfully I had enough sense to not listen to his last words of, "You had better hit that going fast, I wouldn't go slow through that." I backed out without an issue but realized how stupid it was after the fact.

No pics, but bird hunting southwest Kansas during a snowstorm, hauling an aluminum dog trailer with my Tacoma...was cruising along a road that no one had broken in yet...before I know it I feel some drag and realize we're going through a nice drift...buddy screams to floor it...lost movement with snow almost to the side mirrors. Took some work just to get out out of the cab. Disconnected the trailer, dug out the truck with our bare hands, managed to get the truck out. Had to spin the trailer by hand and go out the way we came. Drove straight to Hugoton hardware store and bought a shovel and some gloves.

I had an Uncle like that. Whenever you came to a mud hole in the road and he said: "...don't work Nephew, its got a hard bottom to it...", you were definitely going to get stuck-and bad!

The front two wheels had good traction and the rear passenger wheel was off the ground. That isn't a "stuck" picture. I just backed out slowly.
