Kind of confused. Looking at the WY WIHA and for Campbell Co. #13 is in the Thunder Basin N.G. near Weston. I thought the Grassland was all public?

What he said ^^^

Get a map and be really good at reading it or spring for some kind of chip or app for your phone or GPS like onxmaps.

Speaking of maps for Thunder Basin...be sure and pick up a trails and roads map (I think that is what they called it, I need to check my files) as well. This way you know what two-tracks are open or closed to traffic.

I see the OP has his post in the deer section, so I'm assuming that's the tag he has rather than for antelope. The area is hit hard by those with both tags and the deer numbers are way down in that part of the state. Even the antelope took a pretty good hit a couple years ago and it will take several more to come back to what they were in abut 2010.

I was down there in 2011 those we talked to said the numbers were way down. We did see animals everyday and more Mule Deer then I expected. We would see a few doe everyday but only saw one small buck.

Yeah, it is for the deer tag. Seeing that this area isn't the size I once thought, it will be probably last on my list of spots. Right now I'm thinking we will spend the majority of our time in our antelope unit.
