WHMA Land

Anyone know if you can set up camp on WHMA land? We are headed back to sunlight basin. Or do you have to be off of that and be on national forest?

The WHMA near me does not allow camping but it might vary from area to area.

Looks to me like you can. The map on G&F web site shows 2 camping areas

There are a couple campsite along the road you can camp at, I was thinking about getting further back in the area we are hunting. I think you have to camp at designated camp grounds in the WHMA. Not positive though.

If camping is allowed on a WHMA, I believe you have to stay in designated campgrounds. FS or BLM run lands are the only entities that permit dispersed camping.
