I believe vortex makes a tripod that works great and it much more reasonably priced. After a certain point, you are only giving money away.

I would see which tripod fits your spotter without screwing on a plate. My Meopta is able to go directly in the manfrotto heads quick release. It's real handy.

16-48X65 and the 20-60X85 are both great scopes and i am a firm beleaver in vortex the 85mm is a great scope for just being off the road or glassing 5 miles away i think the light gathering is a little bit better right at dusk. I would suggest going to sportsmans and asking to put both scopes on tripods and take them out side at dusk and see what you think.

View attachment 12273 I finally got the tripod today so here is a picture. I went with the Razor Hd 65mm and a promaster 525 carbon fiber tripod and a van guard ph-111v head. I also picked up one of those black vortex covers that are a neoprene type cover and phone scope kit. Thank you all for your help with suggestions. I tried to find some of the other silk tripods but they all seemed to be discontinued. I really like this 525 though its nice and light feels awesome. Thanks again guys I truly appreciate it. See you around the other threads.
