When does the Ca draw applications open?

Last year the deadline for apps was midnight June 2nd, with Nevada results coming out later this year we will have to apply here in Cali before nevada results are posted which kinda sucks.....

Ya that’s true. I like on know what I can in Nv, if anything before I go all on for Ca. I’ve got 4 deer points in Ca so hope for a X tag this year.

Good luck on the X tag. I think you will have a few choices and more if you don't mind archery. I don't have much points in Cali and do apply in Nevada as well. NV results will not affect my decision as we have some lengthy seasons in Cali.

I spent all my points so I'll just hunt my regular zones, which I'm excited about. One of my favorite spots I haven't been to in two years. Looking forward to seeing the bucks that show up this year. Bears too, it's always thick with bears.

I used my elk points in 2016 and wasted my deer points in 2017 as there was time conflict with some out of state elk hunting. I spent only four full days deer hunting in X zone, saw some does, bear, yotes, mountain lion jumped in front of my car around 1 pm, but I didnt see any bucks. It looks like big problem with predators.

I also know a place south of Yosemite where they release all the problem black bears from the park. Camped there last year and bears were coming into camp every night, raiding anything not tied up into trees. Hiked up the mountain behind the camp and there was tons of wrappers and picnic bags and cracker boxes the bears had dragged off. Troublemakers...

I applied with 3 points going into the draw for x7B rifle. We shall see but will take a D tag if I don’t draw. I have a couple areas I want to pack into and see if I can find a buck, (any buck) in these spots.

last years lowest point awarded tag was 4 but with 13 random tag theres chance good luck
