After converting to Handgun Hunting, I mostly use an Encore Pro-Hunter in 30/06 with Burris 3 x 12 EER scope using Winchester Power Max 150 gr. ammo, or handloads with the Nosler 150 Ballistic Tip. I am putting the finishing touches on a .300 WSM built on a Savage Striker large shank action with a McGowen heavy taper 16” barrel for longer ranges. The WSM is also topped with a Burris 3 x 12 EER scope, and prefers Barnes 168 gr. TTSX bullets over RL-15.
