What's wrong with 118?

I'm trying to figure out where to put in for deer.

I see that only 31 residents applied first choice for 32 permits in Area 118 last year.

When I see 100% draw odds I usually assume the tag is no good. But, is 118 really that bad?

I think if you just want to kill a deer its not bad, not many big bucks.

the area ive been, I see lots of bucks (smaller), just lots of private...

Where I hunt general deer there aren't many big bucks anyway. Well, maybe there are, I don't know. It's hard to tell looking through all the orange.

With only 40 tags I'd think it ought to be better than a general hunt. At least a guy would have some more elbow room.

What would you guys prefer... 118 or General?

Best way to findout is to try it this year! Its not like you have to burn any points to get it. lol

307---I'd take an LQ unit like that over a general tag any day just to hunt without seeing all that orange you mentioned! That, to me, is a big part of whether you have a quality hunt or not and not just killing a big animal.
