Howdy guys, I found a Remington model 700 BDL in 300H&H magnum. It seems to be in great overall condition, and fired very little. It has Leupold bases. The old guy (older than me!) that has it wants $550 for it, could get it for $500.
I really don't need it, what do you think? Good deal, or not so much??

It is hard to tell as there are many, many models and variations. IMHO the .300 H & H should bring a premium as they made fewer of them than most other calibers.

Looks like it probably is Classic LTD edition as it is the only one I could find in my Blue Book that offered H & H. It adds a 25% premium for .300 H & H. Depending on condition, should be worth more than he wants for it, probably at least 600+. I'd buy it in a heartbeat!!!

I saw a closed auction for one that went for $675. Other than that, new 700 BDL models were from $800 -$1000. None where 300 H&H though.

If you like it, and its available, buy it up!

It sounds like a good deal. I would look on gun broker and guns america for some comparable guns to get an idea of what its worth.

I'd buy it. I've always had a soft spot of the .300 H&H Mag. I don't need a .300 H&H. But I'd want one on a 700 action.
