It would be a bad day for the PETA freaks if they showed up on my lawn demanding my head! I'd see how much love they really had for animals when I sicced my catahoula's on them! LOL Actually that would be pretty entertaining!
PETA is welcome at my place anytime but they will be met with alot more then catahoula's! Hope they are immune to 00buckshot and sluggs because Im sure I would feel "my life was being threatened";)

Another thought I had....................... There is a sure enough Redneck Outlaw Bar about 5 miles up the road called the wagon wheel. Half the usual crowd has warrants out for them. Someone is stabbed or shot every other week up there. The law does not even go in that joint! I'd send PETA up there & tell them the moose head was hanging above the bar! Just go get it! LOL

Ive had an albino cow elk in the crosshairs and couldn't bring myself to squeeze the trigger. He would have lived another day if we crossed paths.

By no means am I against someone else taking him and would certainly understand why they would want him. But for me id rather snap a bunch of pics and move on.

If an albino breeds what are the chances of its offspring being albino?
If the albino bred another animal that also held the recessive gene, that being a lack of pigment, then they would produce an albino offspring. If both animals don't possess the gene then a normal animal is the result. I think that it is pretty cool that an animal can look normal but still possess the recessive gene, makes the odds of seeing an albino that much harder.

Wouldn't care one way or the other if someone took him. Any state that has a law that states you can't shoot an albino animal is governed by idiots. The same stupidity as to why they have reservations for Indians. With that type of thinking there should also be reservations for any race that is not pure Anglo.

This is my German Short Hair. He also has something similar. The defective gene only affects his color.

Also, if memory serves me right, I believe MT also has a law against killing albino big game if they have more than 75% white.
No sh!#@??? Didn't know that either :)

Does anyone know why? I thought that trait, when so dominant, actually shorten life expectancy? Not referring to predators just health.

i gotta tell ya, im sick of this "sacred" crap. the damn moose is a result of a bad gene, thats it, no loved ones spirit. its a moose with a bad dna, kill it and remove it from the gene pool. i considre my hunting gorunds sacred and when i see "certain" people out there hunting out of season cuz the r "special" id raise hell but for some reason that makes me a bad person even though it really is sacred to me. ill stop there:cool:

The only way I would pass on that moose, is if my daughter was with me and she had a moose tag. If you saw a world record moose, and you new it for shure, would you let him walk just because he might breed one more cow.
