What license is needed for grouse in Wyoming?

We will be hunting antelope in NE Wyoming and I'm wondering if just the conservation license is all that's required to take sharptail grouse or blue grouse. I see there is a small game/bird combination license available for non residents, and it is $72. I'm not sure I want to spend that much money just to shoot a grouse if I happen to see one.

Also, what about coyotes? Any license required for them? We might bring a predator call and try to hunt them if we have time. But again, I don't want to spend $72 for that opportunity either.

No license needed for coyote, and grouse you need upland bird and conservation stamp. I'm not sure if they sell the upland separate or it's just the combo. I have a lifetime small game/ upland bird so haven't had to buy one in 20 years.

Thanks, perhaps we will just spend our spare time whacking coyotes then, instead of grouse. Although I see they do offer a one day bird/small game non resident license for $20. I might spend that much money if we find an area that has a lot of sharptails. Might even bring my Brittany back there next year, and if we do, it would be well worth spending the $72.

The game bird and upland bird tags are the same thing. If you want to shoot grouse just get the game bird license. You can purchase a one day license from the game and fish online and print it off if you want to do it that way. Im not sure if they have a 3 day license or not. I haven't checked on it. You will need your conservation stamp but you should have that if youre hunting antelope anyways. Lots of sharptail around this area.

A few years back I hunted on a ranch that was loaded with Huns. We could have hunted them, but no shotgun available. Wanted to go back with my dog and shotgun, but just couldn't get it done.

I'm hoping we do come across some sharptail grouse while chasing antelope. Then if it works out, towards the end of our week in a Wyoming, we will buy the one day license and bring out the shotguns. I could see myself in the future making a trip to Wyoming with my bird dog specifically to hunt birds, if they seem to be plentiful.
