My son and I have 7 PP'S and are looking to cash them in this year. Looks as though the winter has been kind to the critters and assuming it stays that way we are looking at several options and would welcome any thoughts or advice...
Coming over from Oregon makes the SW units appealing but we're not set in stone.
I hunted unit 96 back in the 80's and had a great hunt but the tag numbers seem to be down and it looks to be tied to unit 92 which is a bit confusing...
We also have 6 deer and elk points that we'd like to use within the next year or so so were thinking about units 93 or 98 so we could do some deer/elk scouting. I worked in that country way back in `73 and saw some great bucks albeit; a long, long time ago.
Any words of wisdom would be appreciated!

I am not 100 percent sure but I think you just apply for the first area listed (92) and tag is valid for both if they are combined units. Not for sure why that is. I think everywhere is still recovering from the 2011 winter. That's probably why tags are still down. It's was a little rough as far as drought type stuff over there right after that winter. No wisdom here but good luck.

I am planning on heading that way from Oregon as well this fall for Antelope as well. I have 6 points and am looking at the same area. I have my eye on 90-1, it was 100% draw last year with 6 points. While doing my research I noticed it has great access and I have seen some pictures of some really nice bucks from there.

From what I understand, if you draw the buck tag, you can buy doe tags as well? If I draw I am planning a trip around the opener, look things over, and if I read right about the doe tags, maybe whack a doe and head back home. Unless I find a nice buck to shoot in September, I will go back towards the end of season and shoot a buck.

I hunted GMU 66 east of Lander in October 2015. I know this is on the edge of Western Wyoming but close to GMU 92. I saw some very nice bucks in 66 and a great many bucks overall. Just a suggestion and best of luck on your hunt.
