Weather update?

Weather in Reno is pretty crappy today, windy cold and rainy. Not sure if the storm coming over the mountains will make it all the way up there but just giving you a heads up. Per my weather app it looks windy in Elko too.

So looks like there is another storm heading for the rubys. I will be getting there just as the storm arrives. Anybody know what the deer movement is like right now and what they are going to be doing around the storm.

I was there all last week. The last weekend when it was cold and snowing movement was ok even had some smaller bucks rounding up some does but as it warmed the movement slowed. We even stalked a nice 4x4 and he ran up on a smaller 3x3 and they were lookin ready to square off tried to get in close enough but they spooked and bolted. Im pretty sure the rut is gonna get goin real soon if it cools down.

Thanks for the info. Looks like we got a pretty good storm coming so im hoping to see alot of deer.
I was also up there last week and there was a good amount of snow where i got my deer at about 8000 - 9000 feet, about a foot. As it warmed up during the week the snow was melting fast. Hope this next storm dumps some snow and gets them moving for you. I don't know where you plan on hunting but just for your info they don't have gas at the little store "Harmons" down in Ruby valley.
