Many years ago when I lived in California, I was at the range working on some loads. There was a guy shooting on the bench next to me and he was having fits with his rifle...a .460 Wby. He was leaving for Africa and trying to sight it in. It had way too much recoil for him. He let me shoot it a couple of times and I gladly gave it back to him!. He was only about 5' 6" or so and weighed maybe 140#. Never saw him again, but I'll bet that gun was a real handful for him on his Safari!
