Unit 9 New Mexico

I drew a second season elk archery tag for unit 9 New Mexico and was wondering if anyone had any tips of where to look.

I'm not sure but I hear there's no need looking any farther than mt Taylor

I've heard there are good areas that don't really look like there would be elk there. Just wondering where to start.

There are some people that love the unit. Prefer it over any other in nm. I know they hunt mt Taylor. I know that doesn't narrow it much but and I haven't personally hunted it. Good luck
