Our Colorado trip turned out great not the biggest bulls but did not come home empty handed shot my bull at 508 yd up a canyon my dad was squeezing the trigger on the same bull when I may the shot they did not know I could see the bull from where I had set up in the rocks dad was up on the side of the canyon shooting down in to it I was waiting for him to shoot but was worried the bull was out of his range or just didn't see it as the one earlier that day had got by them I was glassing over 1900 yd when first saw what looked like elk moving down the canyon I had set up for a 625 yd shot like like they were going to cut on the south side of the draw but cut back across to a creek to water the rest is history went back to the same spot got closer to the watering had another bull come in but was spooked by coyotes eating on my carcass went back the next night an shot the 2nd bull in the same spot turned out great pulled both out with our horses best thing I had done all summer was getting the horses an rig ready me being the youngest would have put most of the packing up to me dad was against taking them worried pulling for 22 hours would be to much but after the first trip out he was amazed great trip great family an if anyone thinks I was shooting at my Dad I wasn't or did not know where he was I did just didn't know if he saw the bull he said size doesn't matter as long as we got one he did shoot the smaller one but was as happy with it as he would have been with a 300 inch all an all glad we still have the freedom to be able to drive across country to hunt in states most just dream about thanks if you read an look I have a lot more pics just to many to post colorado elk 2015 024.jpgcolorado elk 2015 041.jpgcolorado elk 2015 040.jpgcolorado elk 2015 057.jpgDSCN0273.jpg
