Anyone have opinions about units 57/58. I understand that it is a limited entry unit and I may have enough points to draw a muzzle loader tag for it. But, the success rates are about half of where I usually hunt in an OTC unit. Also, by the looks of Google Earth, it appears to be lower elevation and not the typical "high country" I'm, used to. Maybe the elk are there later in the season. Accessibility is great, with all the roads winding through the area. I do like that aspect.

Which OTC unit? If I remember correctly the success is actually fairly decent???
I really contemplated this unit two years ago and scouted there a bit, but the group chose something different. Hindsight being 20/20 I wish I would have chosen 57. I talked to an outfitter and a few locals along the way that gave me some insight. So if you draw this tag let me know and I'll help you out with what I know.

Elk. But, there are 2 of us going and I thought about trying for a deer tag and my buddy getting an elk tag. Not sure on the draw odds for deer though.
