Unit 30 Pine Valley Mule deer

If I was gun hunting Pine Valkey, I would put in for the early rifle. If you are going to hunt a different unit that holds a lot of elk this early hunt overlaps with the rifle general bull and spike bull. So say you wanted to do early gun on the SW Desert, spike hunters will be everywhere so I would pick the later dates.

I hunt muzzleloader or archery depending on the year. Pinevalley 2 years ago, Zion archery last year and I should draw Zion MZ this year. I really like pinevalley but I typically elk hunt in the Zion unit and trying to scout pinevalley and Zion at the same time is too much. So I plan for elk then deer hunt extra.

If I had your points, I would find someone that has hunted the unit you are looking and split your points then rely on them to scout for you locally or hunt with you. Since you have double what you need.

Well, the application has been submitted, now just the wait to see if we drew. Applied as a group for the early Oct 10-14 hunt with a group average of 5 points each, so I'd be surprised if we don't draw but you never know. Going with my 70 year old dad and taking a cousin on his 1st western big game hunt. So if someone could please send me GPS coordinates for 3 bucks in the 180" range I'd appreciate it.
