I would like some direction. I have hunted elk both bull and cow in unit 10 three times now. I have only hunted the southeast corner and basically north northwest of there with success two out of the three hunts. However, I drew a late cow rifle tag this year and I am considering trying the boquillas ranch. I am aware of the fee to hunt on it. I was wondering if anyone has hunted it, perhaps areas hunted on it. My thought is perhaps the B ranch has less pressure? Would be wonderful if anyone would share their thoughts as I am trying to decide to buy the access pass to go have a look see. Would like to scout around a bit prior to December hunt. Anyone's thought or advice would be helpful. Thank you. PM messages are fine too...

My son also has the Dec cow tag. I'm interested in any replies to Catahoula's question, as we are first-timers to AZ this year. We're looking to the southeast corner as well, but considering the Big Bo also.

I hunted the ranch with my daughter during the youth deer season. We saw some huge bulls. My advise is to scout the ranch and talk to the cowboys. They are there all year long and see where the animals are. Good luck.

I have hunted archery cow there before. We stayed in saligman and hunted the big b, as well as some other spots closer to town but on the opposite side of saligman. I did not see any elk on the big b and i found it somewhat difficult to hunt in the harsh weather that was present, but there were not many other hunters and there were cowboys that could be great information resources. I like the spot better. Got a chance to ditch the truck, hunt on foot, and see some animals. There were very few other hunters anywhere we tried. It was really cool. Goodluck.

Anybody have some luck with finding deer on the road? Have my permit and will be heading south the first week of September, plan on getting to a glassing location and spending the majority of my time behind a razor HD 65mm. Will be focusing on tanks in pj country. Thoughts?
