Hey all. My hunting party has hunted the sam spot in the northern part of the Ukiah unit for 18 years. Wr have not shot a good bull out of that spot, so it is time to move. We drew any bull this year and are thinkin if movin south a bit. If anyone out there has hunted the central or south portion of Ukiah and have tips or could point us to some spots to look at i would really apprecite some help. Thanks

Sorry, have not hunted south of Ukiah, but have spent quite a bit of time in the Starkey area, just North of there. Driving thru the area earlier this spring saw the huge herd in the flat just north of town. Actually have seen them in there several times this year. There are elk there but not as many as there was in the 80's and 90's. Pickle springs area usually sees elk every year. Good Luck!
