To eat or not eat CDW positive tested deer

I could be wrong in what I'm remembering reading somewhere, but I thought there were some studies where CWD infected meat was fed to monkeys or apes and it did pass across?

I guess I wouldn't knowingly eat it or serve it to my family, if I knew it tested positive. That being said, and this horse has already been whipped in this thread: I and many of you may have already ate it...😵

I do not concern myself with it. But if I ever tested a deer and it came out as positive, I do not think I would eat it.

Most agencies will now confiscate the meat and depending on what state and what you want to do either issue you a new tag for the same year and area or give you a tag for the next year.

if they will do that they are most welcome to the meat.

way I see it cwd has been around an awful long time with no transmission. seems pretty safe to me.
of coarse there will always be those that are frightened of nothing diseases. to each their own.
