So my wife and i were unsuccessful in the general archery season but lucky enough to draw a late season tioga archery tag that runs December3-18. Any suggestions on areas, drainages and such would be greatly appreciated. I've hunted this area buy only near wolf creek. I have the part of the unit from coos bay up to umpqua river west of the allegany rd. This is an elk tag for 3 point Plus. Thanks for any help

This hunt used to be a cow hunt and I had it one year. I have also hunted some in the Elliot state forest during the rifle hunt. The elk are there but it was always hard to find the branch bulls. They seem to leave the cows after the rut concludes but you might get lucky and find one still with a herd. We would access it by going up past the Hauser Correctional facility and always found elk up that way. Seems the elk are typically moving down closer to the fields at that time of year so I would get a map and try focus on the lower lying forest off that back side of Tenmile lake closer to the private property.
