The .22 Hornet

Hey guys,
Does anyone on here own a .22 Hornet? I want one pretty bad, as I handload and it doesn't take much to feed it, plenty of power for coyotes and vermin at the ranges I get to hunt them in Maine and it's so quiet compared to the .223 and .22-250 which is nice because we do have neighbors and I would like to preserve some of my remaining hearing.

A friend of mine has one and they are really great. His has been "Kilborn" chambered for what is called a K Hornet. Blows out the shoulder and takes the taper out of the case. ballistics are much better....and still quiet.

I don't have one but I saw one in the Cabelas store in Grand Junction last week. I think they were asking $1299.

.22 hornets are really awesome, cheap to shoot rifles or handguns. I have one in a rifle and pistol for a contender. They say they are inherently one of the most accurate cartridges. Mine shoots well. Low velocity and low powder. Fun gun. I also have a .17 ackley hornet which is a .22 hornet necked down to .17. I'm a big hornet fan

22 Hornet is 'da bomb alright!! If you load em right they can't be beat..... finding your favorite load won't take you long either...

I've got a Taurus "Raging Hornet" .22 Hornet in a ss 8-shot revolver with a 10.5" barrel. It is a bad little round!

As a teenager I shot several fox with a hornet. It was my uncles rifle and I have no clue where it might be. Extremely accurate and plenty of gun for those fox.

I e-mailed CZ to ask when they would be able to get me their CZ 527 Lux at discount and they said 9 months to a year! AHH!!!!!!!

Thanks Eberle and everyone. Coulda used the hornet the other day. Shot a coyote at 25 yards. Typical for here in Maine. 31 pound female.

They are sweet guns i have a ruger varmit model that i have been using for 20 years and have probably ran 2,000 rounds through it and love it good out to about 250 yards on coyotes.
