Wondering if anyone knows anything about this gun. It has Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori 1904 stamped on the top front of the reciever and the s/n is 34344 with KB stamped in front of the s/n. The best I have come up with is it is a model 94 carbine but I have not found anything exactly like it. Everything I have found had wood over the top rear part of the barrel with a ring around the stock at the front of the top piece and mine doesnt show any evidence of ever having that. It is chambered in 6.5x55 and the barrel is about 18''. All the numbers match including the stock but someone had grafted a pistol grip onto the stock. I found this gun about 15 years ago in my great uncles house after he passed on and never knew he had it before that. There is no caliber stamped on the barrel and when I found it I took it to someone I thought knew something about guns who claimed he couldnt identify it, so it hung on my wall for years. Recently I got to looking at it again and figured out it was a 6.5x55. It was missing the rear sight and I was trying to figure out exactly what it was to find a sight that would fit it but I was cleaning it up yesterday and realized it had been drilled for a peep sight and the Williams peep sight that I took off my 270 fits it perfectly so now I am just looking for a little more info on it. Thanks!

I have the carbine. It's a very accurate rifle. And a good whitetail round... I had mine sporterized. All except the military trigger. My uncle had one to. U can find factory ammo now for it. I think Remington chambered in one of the rifles. A few years back..

I havent actually shot mine yet. Ammo for it looks pretty reasonable on Cabelas though. I have some that I found with the gun but I think its pretty old. I dont really plan on hunting with it but its not out of the question either!
