I'm looking to buy new optics in next few weeks. I'm wanting the new atx 95 spotting scope and a getzo head or one similar or better any recommendations?
Looking for cheapest place to buy all this. Wished could find used but pretty new glass I figure hard to find used.
I'm also wanting 10x42el swaro.

I can get outfitters discount at Cabelas it usually helps on most things but I don't think theres a lot of markup on swarovski stuff.

I love my swaro 95. I wasn't able to find a better deal anywhere though. Same price where ever I looked. I ended up going with Cabelas to get the points. I purchased a manfrotto pan head but the Gitzo heads look awesome. I do think you can get a very good spotter for half what the Swaro 95 costs, but it won't quite match up to this Swaro 95 if you are looking for the best. Brings a smile to my face every time I look through it.

Yeah I believe so to. Never looked at the 95mm I've used a 80mm for years now. At a mile away light don't last long when you looking at whitetails so every minute helps.
Looked online several places and really haven't found any great deals nothing under $4,400
The el range have seen on eBay for $2,800 and regular el for $1,800

the best way to get a discount with Swaro is through demos and close out models. Eurooptic.com has demo STX eyepiece and objectives. For a 95mm ATX you can get the modular for 1749 and eyepeice for 1999.

In the woods.
I personally use the 95mm ATX with an Outdoorsman's tripod and Outdoorsman's panhead this set-up holds the weight of the 95mm really well for a steady view even with the tallest tripod.

That's a stud coues deer!!! What's the comparison of the 80mm swarovski HD to the 95mm ?? Big difference at mile half away at judging bucks and drawing light? My 80mm is hard to really judge a buck past a mile and especially low light. Honestly 3/4 mile away about best for good look with 80mm and closer in low light. I know from experience how big within 10inches at 2 miles but like to have better.

Tahii, is that a Caron fibre barrel? If so what brand or is it a custom gun? Very nice buck and gun.
Christensen Arms 26 Nosler. That is actually my nephews gun and Coues deer, but my optics the deer measured a whopping 124 inches. He shot it a month ago here in Arizona.

These pictures are well over a mile away. I am finding more game then I ever have in the past. They can keep you from walking miles for smaller deer but on the other hand they can make you walk miles for bigger deer.

Does that short tripod extend? Probably enough with angled scope just thinking standing up looking over something?

Tazhii, do you about what he paid for his gun? I really like the tripod set up. What size tripod is that? I'm wavering on ordering the medium on I think it's 18 or 24" to 54"

I'm in same boat I believe the medium with extendable shaft gets 54in that should work for me.
I assume the gitzo head will mount to the outdoorsman tripod?
