Swap Hunt Interest

Do Any Eastman's members have interest in discussing swapping hunts? Been building points in most western states but I'm active duty USAF so I move around a bit. My family ranch in SD has some very good hunting and I have managed it for upper age class whitetail bowhunting. The Pronghorn and Mule deer are not the trophy quality of RM and further west states but we have pheasants too. Looking for an elk bowhunt in CO, WY or MT primarily. Would sure do Mule Deer and or Pronghorn too if that's what you have. One person for one person.

How many points do you have for Wyoming elk?

What is your expectations in an archery elk hunt. I'm a MT res and spend the majority of Sept on the mountain chasing elk. I hunt hard, typically covering 6-8 miles a day and its very steep country. I will most years harvest a bull although I blew my 2 opportunities this year on smaller 6x6s and passed up several smaller bulls because I was set on a 6 point. I will on a typical year see many bulls but the general area I hunt doesn't have the genetics to produce many if any 300"+ bulls. I have killed bulls from small raghorns to big 5 points and many in between. Typically will have to pack anywhere from 2-5 miles back to vehicle but with 2 guys its never been to horrible.....few by myself have been brutal

So I guess I'm just curious as to your expectations.......It's obviously still hunting so no guarantees but I'm confident in my ability to turn up bulls and see elk.

I'm not overly picky at all. I haven't hunted elk in over a decade and just want to have a high chance at success. I would like something 280+ but again it's the experience with lots of animals and opportunities with someone that has experience I am after. Sounds like you may be a fit. What unit? Pics? unit is in SW MT and its just a general area. I'm having a hell of a time locating my external hard drive with my pictures on it but I'll find it and send a couple pictures and some more in depth details of the unit when I can
