Hello everyone. My name is Shane and I have been hunting for 30 years but have never hunted out west. I am also an avid fisherman and trapper. I come from a family of commercial fisherman, commercial trappers, and farmers/ranchers/loggers.
I have only ever been as far west as Denver and as far north as Williston, ND and only on short trips to each.
I am almost 39 years old so I am getting a late jump on getting out to the west to chase the critters of my dreams but I am more concerned with getting my 18 year old son an earlier start on experiencing all that western hunting has to offer.
I am going to have to get in shape. I just quit smoking so that is a start. I haven't smoked long I only started a couple months ago when I quit smokeless tobacco after 25 years.
Anyway, I am glad to have become a member here and can't wait to get to work getting myself informed on how and where to hunt.
