Looks like we are in for a banner year for moisture. I got a report a couple of days ago the Dolores River drainage has 130% of normal snow and moisture. At the lower elevations where I live (6750"), we had about 6" on the ground after about 2 or 3" had melted. Last night it started snowing and it is still coming down. We have another 6" and the forecast is snow until next Friday. Got to plow my road (again!) sometime today. Not very cold, was around 33 when I got up at 6 am.

Up here in Eagle County is is a balmy 35 degrees and cloudy.

Our snow pack in the hills around us is over 100% but down here in the valleys it is next to nonexistent. We got a pretty good storm the other day but then came the warmer weather and rain. The only place that I have snow left is in the shady areas on my property. I don't mind so much just as long as the mountains keep getting hit.
