Looking for a summer tent for my family. Needs to be able to sleep 4 with some extra room. Hoping someone knows of something that has a full floor, really good rain fly, but reasonable priced. Weight isn't any issue, be used mostly close to a vehicle, or the backyard, lol.

hit some garage sales . you can generally get a good tent for about ten bucks or less. people tend to buy them . use them once and sell em.

I have a off brand 10x20 nylon 3 room tent that I used years ago that I would just give away for someone to get some more use out of it. The room partitions are just fabric that hangs from the top down. It worked great for a number of years on warm deer hunts, except for the year that we had 50mph winds blowing. The tent looked like it was alive and breathing when we collapsed it down to keep it from blowing away with us inside of it.

I have been thinking of setting it up and taking pictures of it but it is now snow time with no where to pitch it.

If you were offering I appreciate it. Santa needs something to put his name on for under the tree in a couple weeks.

Had a Coleman tent myself that lasted a long time, poles just finally gave out this summer. Guess there's no reason not to buy another one.

This is what we use for Aug-Sept Antelope hunts. I have the 6 person. Lots of room and sets up real fast.
My brother had two of these. The floors were water proof. I know this because we got about 2? of rain one summer in the SE OR desert. One just leaked, the other barely slowed the rain drops, had to put both kids in the rig or risk drowning. We had to move cots in the other to where it leaked the least. Was about 5 years ago. They did fine in short light rain showers. Just my experience.

Use Kodiak canvas tents now. Work great. Bought both of mine off Craig?s list, saved some $.
