I started out in the late 60s with a re-curve Bear Grizzly 57lb. Never bow hunted from mid 70s to mid 80s. Picked up a bear Black Bear compound, given to me by a friend who got a new bow. Next was a used Browning Viper, got stolen out of my garage. 2002 got a Martin Jaguar Mag. package deal for 350. 2015 saw a new Bow Tech RPM 360. Nice bow but comes in a just under a grand. Like 999 bucks. I did get an elk with it last year and shoot it better than any other I've owned, but dang a thousand bucks.....I like the bow but still do not see how it costs that much. I recently read an article which addressed the idea that bow manufacturers were pricing products right out of average hunters range. Local bow shop says no problem so far. New and expensive models don't stay on the shelf long.
