Where I worked in Utah there was a MJ grow on some BLM land that most anyone tha knew the area knew about.
Well, come one election year a county sheriff deputy who was running for sheriff all of a sudden discovered it. He then made a huge thing about how he found it and that the MJ sales and use in the county was going to be affected.
Well, none of what he said came true and he lost the election.

That happened to a bunch of duckblinds in Arkansas a few years ago. But it wasn't the govt that did it. lol
