I am going on my first Antelope rifle hunt next week near springfield. Does anybody know a processor or somewhere we could hang meat? Weather looks warm and we live a couple hours away.

A quartered antelope will fit in a medium sized cooler, or two depending on size. I use a cool max jumbo cooler. Put quarters in game bags and into a garbage sack. Pack ice around it. Do this immediately after kill. This is assuming there is no processor nearby. I know this isn't what you asked, but this method will be best, even if you are transporting to a processor. Cool it of quick!

I have turkey hunted near springfield and im not sure of anything near that area in the way of meat processing. Good luck on your hunt there are a lot of goats in the area!

Ive got a large cooler and I am going to bring some blocks of ice and cut it up. That will last a few days but I was worried about after that - 5 days or so.
