I am looking into finding an area for a spring Bear spot and stock hunt in the future not this spring. I really dont know were to start or even look. I have hunted bears in the fall in colorado with good success. I am currently a resident in wyoming. Just looking for a place to start looking into. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Idaho is a great state for the Spring hunt. Ill be over there in Early may doing some Elk scouting and looking for bears. Chase the Snow line and fine greenery. Their pretty active during that time!
Any spacific parts of idaho? Do you know if the spring bear tags are over the counter or are they LQ
Idaho has over the counter bear tags and some units in the northern half of the state allow 2 bears per hunter. You will be in good bear country from Boise North and Boise East. Just take a look at the regulations, there are a couple spring bear controlled units that are not open to the over the counter tag holders. If you spend some time, you could see some bears and there is tons of public land. Good luck.
