Spring Bear

Anybody know a good place to go look for a bear? I have never hunted them but thinking about giving them a shot.

Same concept... Just get out, sit and glass for hours on end. Soon you will get it figured out. It was a bear every other year at best for me until it just clicked and now my buddy and I have both filled our tag the last 4 years. You'll get addicted... The weather is incredible and it's simply more time in the field.

I feel that the big horns are one of the best areas for black bear. The only problem is if it snows a lot like last year, you cannot get up there to hunt them. Of course, your back door in the casper mountains and also around douglas hold some nice bears as well.

Since you're in Casper try the reno hill area . Last time I was there my cousin and uncle had seen bear three days in a row during the fall.

In addition to laramie peak and big horns, anyone try snowy range or sierra madres?
