Team thump&dump went out this past weekend for a little bear hunt in central ID. We had a fantastic time. We did a ton of hiking and a butt load of glassing. We saw 10 bears in 2 days and my buddy carson was able to get his first bear. I didn't shoot so hot. (lets blame it on the gun :) ). Overall not bad for a couple of guys on a DIY spot and stalk bear hunt. The bear we killed is not the sow with her cub in the last photo.cars bear 2.jpgcars bear 3.jpgcars bear 4.jpgcars bear.jpg. We also tried our hand at video and hopefully we can figure out how to post that here as well.

I have a friend with a cabin over there. He always has bears getting into stuff there. When they were building it, they stayed in the cabin when they were working on it. One time one broke into their food stash in there, and he had to end up shooting it one night when it came back for more.

I have been working too much lately and my days off have been nothing but sour weather. Cant wait to get out and go find me something like that.

I was up South Fork today. Saw a wet sow that had to cross the 300lb weight. I may be off, but not by much. She had two cute little furballs with her. I spotted a bald eagle that I stopped to photo graph, then saw a cub shoot up the tree near the eagle. Thats when I saw mama bear below who was not soo happy with that big ol eagle that close to her cubs. My cameras zoom wasnt too great, but will have a few shots up later.
