got one of these sights a while back and just now trying to get it set up.

I shot it the way that the instructions said and shot it at 20 yards got it set and put the calibration tape put on and got the 60 set. picked the tape out that it said I needed lined it up. and when I went to put the target at an odd yardage like 34 yards it was shooting high

how do you all set these sights up

Based on the description and what I read on their website, I am assuming you have the single pin set up. I have a single pin sight too (not the same type, but the concept should still apply) and I started with 10 yds, then 30 and checked it at 20 yds (no difference between 10 and 20 but that is what you want). The only problems I have at 40 yds are my own with respect to shooting ability. When I have good form and release at 40, the arrow goes where I intend.

Thing is, the tapes that came with my sight never worked for me either. I started using a silver sharpie for temporary marks and once I felt I had everything dialed in, I replaced the sharpie marks with thin strips of blue masking tape then covered them with a good quality clear packing tape. While it is probably not a perfect system, it seems to work and it is modular so if you want to make marks at odd yardages, you can make them where you're actually shooting, not what the manufacturer's tape says it shoud be. Plus, if you ever change arrow weight are draw weight, you can easilty (relatively) switch out your marks to what YOU wan them to be.

Hope this helps and good luck...took me several sightings to get my single pin dialed in just right.

I bought the TAPes program for sights. I don't use tapes given from the company. So what I do is take the TAPes scale, shoot 20 and 60 yards marking bow numbers. Plug it into the TAPes program and I have my tape. Has been dead accurate for me so far

It's hit it miss. I mut have missed something on my last tape. 20,30 dead nuts. 40 is like 8" high. 50 same, 60 was a foot and a half high and the tape is not even close past 60. This is on a hogg father though. I wish I would have checked past 40 before the archery golf tournament. I looked like a fool past 30.

I think one of the keys here is to start with the dial all the way down (i.e. the lowest setting) then working up from there. One of the first misakes I made with my sight was I didn't have the dial seated all the way down to indicate my shortest range-be sure that sucker is ALL the way down before you begin.

When I realized there was still about a quarter inch that I should have gone and re-sighted, it changed everything.

archersadvantageonline also has the same program. Shoot at 20 mark it, shoot at 60 mark it. Plug that info into the program prints out tape exactly on works pretty good. Real helpful with picking out arrows that work well with your bow.
