I am glad to see it stopped. Look what happened when Bass Pro bought out Cabelas. Quality of merchandise took a dump and prices jumped.

Same story with Gander Mountain that morphed into Gander Outdoors, and finally Camping World.

I am glad, have a Sportsman's close by and did not want to see it change.

I'm just glad there are options. All the mom and pop places closed years ago. And stuff at bass pro/cabelas may be going downhill but still better than walmart.

Well I've never been in the Sportsmans we have in town but I can't imagine anything Bass Pro gets its hands on would take a turn for the better.
I will be hitting the Scheel's when we go to Reno later this month.
